Sous Chef in Gastro Pub & Restaurant in Notting Hill

Location: Notting Hill, West London
Job Type: Temporary – 2–3 months (until New Year)
Start: ASAP

We are looking for an experienced and confident Sous Chef to join a busy, quality-driven gastro pub and restaurant in Notting Hill.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Sous Chef who enjoys leading kitchen teams, working with fresh ingredients and delivering consistently high standards during busy services.

The Role

  • Support the Head Chef with the daily running of the kitchen.

  • Lead and coordinate busy lunch and dinner services.

  • Oversee food preparation, cooking and presentation.

  • Maintain high standards of fresh-food cooking.

  • LSupervise and support junior chefs.

  • Assist with stock management, ordering and waste control.

  • Ensure food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards are maintained.

  • Take responsibility for kitchen operations when required.

We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a busy restaurant or gastro pub.

  • Strong fresh-food cooking skills and knowledge of British and European cuisine.

  • Confidence leading kitchen teams during busy services.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.

  • Hands-on, reliable and professional approach.

  • Flexible availability, including weekdays, evenings and weekends.

  • Must be available to commit to the full 2–3 month assignment until New Year.
