For many, the Bank Holiday weekend is a chance to switch off, spend time with family and friends, or make the most of the extra day off. But in hospitality, things don’t slow down.
From festivals and concerts to sporting events, hotels, restaurants and catering operations, some of the busiest periods of the year happen when everyone else is enjoying their break. That’s why, even over the Bank Holiday weekend, the hospitality industry keeps moving and so do we.
Making the Most of the Long Weekend
Whilst some of our consultants are taking the opportunity to enjoy a well-earned break, they’re all spending their Bank Holiday in very different ways.
Matt is making the most of the fresh sea air on the Jurassic Coast, spending his weekend with family and fitting in a round of golf.
Ella is headed to Shrewsbury for a spot of retail therapy and a day of shopping.
Brooke is celebrating at a wedding in Northern Ireland, creating memories with family and friends.
Meanwhile, Ed is putting his DIY skills to the test by helping his daughter lay kitchen flooring.
Business as Usual for Our Event Teams
While some of the team enjoy their time off, others are right in the middle of one of hospitality’s busiest weekends.
Pam has a packed schedule across the north of the UK. Her weekend begins with the Glasgow team, carrying out candidate check-ins at the Bon Jovi concert in Edinburgh. From there, it’s on to Celtic Park in Glasgow for more candidate support before making the journey back to Manchester to enjoy a local music festival herself.
It’s a busy few days, but that’s the reality of hospitality recruitment. Being where our candidates are and supporting our clients on the ground is all part of the service we provide.
Supporting Major Events Across the Country
The Bank Holiday weekend is also keeping Ioana and Laila busy as they support our teams at some of the UK’s biggest events.
From candidate check-ins at Leeds Festival to supporting teams working at Leeds United, they’re helping to ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Although guests only see the finished event, there is an enormous workforce helping make these experiences possible, and our consultants play an important role in keeping those teams supported.
The Industry That Never Stops
Whether it’s a concert, festival, football match, hotel, restaurant or catering operation, hospitality never really takes a break.
While many people are enjoying extra time with friends and family this Bank Holiday, thousands of hospitality professionals are working hard to deliver outstanding experiences for guests across the UK.
We’d like to thank everyone working across the industry this weekend and our consultants who are out there supporting them.
Because even over the Bank Holiday, hospitality doesn’t stop. And neither do we
