Temporary recruitment process

Your Temporary Candidate Journey

Joining Berkeley Scott as a temporary worker is straightforward. From your initial interview through to completing your onboarding and picking up your first offers of work, our team will guide you through each stage.

Read the stages below to discover what you can expect.

Stage One: Interview

After your application, if successful, we may invite you for an interview. Our interviews can be in different formats depending on the role you are applying for; some interviews are in depth via telephone in the first instance, others can be one-to-one on Teams or in person and others can be group style interactive sessions. The consultant dealing with your application will confirm this with you and make you aware of the process.

Stage Two: registration

If you are successful after the interview stage you will receive a link to register on our database, as well as a link to complete your right to work check via our accredited partner, TrustID - please note you will be asked to provide your right to work document along with any other accompanying documents, 2 proofs of address such as bank statements / utility bills and also a second document containing a picture such as a driving licence.

Stage Three: Training

You will also receive a link to complete the compliance training associated to your job role; this will include topics such as food safety, food allergens, health & safety - however there are some specific modules for specific job roles, your consultant will inform you of these.

Final Stage: Onboarding

Once you have completed all of the previous stages, we've received all of the required documents and verified and accepted them, you will be invited to a final onboarding. And lastly, you will be sent a link to our app where you can start to pick up offers of work.
