What You Will Be Doing

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth running of the school kitchen and helping provide a high standard of service.

Your duties will include:

• Assisting with food preparation and service

• Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy periods

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

• Washing up and keeping kitchen areas clean and organised

• Following food safety and allergen procedures

• Assisting with stock rotation and general kitchen duties

• Ensuring the kitchen is maintained to a high standard throughout service

Requirements

To be considered for this Kitchen Assistant position, you will need:

• Previous catering or kitchen experience

• Enhanced DBS required

• 2 references required

• Food Safety Level 2 Certificate required, or willingness to obtain

• Food Allergen Certificate required, or willingness to obtain

• Good understanding of food hygiene and safe working practices

• Reliable, hardworking and professional attitude

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Good communication skills
