School Kitchen Assistant – Peterborough

Peterborough | Monday–Friday | £14.00–£15.00 per hour | Weekly Pay

Berkeley Scott are currently recruiting for a School Kitchen Assistant to join a busy school kitchen in Peterborough.

 What We’re Looking For

• Enhanced DBS – required

• Food Safety Level 2 Certificate – required

• Food Allergen Certificate – required, or willingness to obtain

• Previous experience working in a school, care, contract catering or commercial kitchen is desirable

• Able to follow instructions and maintain high standards of cleanliness

• Strong communication skills and a professional approach when working around children and school staff

 What You’ll Be Doing

• Assisting with the preparation and service of fresh, nutritious meals

• Supporting the wider kitchen team with day-to-day food preparation

• Serving meals to pupils and staff

• Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene and cleanliness

• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and work areas

• Washing up and keeping the kitchen organised
