School Kitchen Assistant – Oxford

Berkeley Scott are currently looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join a busy school catering team in Oxford. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen and want the opportunity for regular school-based work, this could be the perfect role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting the catering team with food preparation and service

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals

• Keeping kitchen and food preparation areas clean and organised

• Washing up and carrying out general kitchen duties

• Following food hygiene and safety procedures

• Helping the wider catering team ensure the smooth running of the kitchen

As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll be an important part of the team, helping to maintain a clean, efficient and welcoming catering environment for pupils and staff.

Requirements

• • Previous catering or Kitchen Assistant experience is desirable

  • Enhanced DBS required

  • 2 references required

  • Food Safety Level 2 and Food Allergen Certificates required, or willingness to obtain

  • Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety

  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking

  • Able to work effectively as part of a team

  • Positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
