Berkeley Scott are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking Kitchen Assistants to join our team working within a school environment in Corby.

‍ What You’ll Be Doing

As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll support the catering team in keeping the school kitchen running smoothly and maintaining high standards throughout service.

Your duties may include:

• Assisting with food preparation and serving meals

• Supporting the catering team during busy service periods

• Preparing ingredients and keeping work areas organised

• Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment

• Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures

• Assisting with stock rotation and correct food storage

• Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment

• Supporting the team in providing a friendly service to pupils and staff

• Working efficiently as part of a busy catering team

✅ Requirements

To be considered for the role, you’ll need:

• Previous kitchen, catering or hospitality experience is desirable

• Food Safety Level 2 Certificate – required, or willingness to obtain

• Food Allergen Certificate – required, or willingness to obtain

• Enhanced DBS – required

• 2 references – required

• A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment

• A professional approach to working within a school setting
