General Kitchen Assistant – Watford & Surrounding Areas

General Kitchen Assistant | Schools Across Watford & Surrounding Areas

Looking for a flexible role within school catering?

We are recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Assistants to support busy school kitchens across Watford and the surrounding areas.

This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while helping deliver meals to pupils and staff.

Duties include:

  • Basic food preparation
  • Serving meals and refreshments
  • Washing up and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
  • Assisting chefs and kitchen teams
  • Following food safety and hygiene procedures
  • General kitchen and dining hall support

Requirements:

  • Previous catering experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Good understanding of hygiene standards

IMPORTANT DBS REQUIREMENT

A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate for the Child Workforce is essential for these roles.

Please note: An Adult Workforce DBS will NOT be accepted. Only a Child Workforce DBS (or Child & Adult Workforce DBS) is suitable for school environments.

If you are not currently in possession of the correct DBS, we may be able to assist with obtaining one.
