Hotel Manager – Blackpool

Salary: £24,000–£32,000 + Bonus

Accommodation: Live‑in option available

 Schedule: Full‑time, must be on‑site to cover weekends

Located just 1,640 feet from Coral Island and within walking distance of Blackpool Winter Gardens Theatre, the Conference Centre, and Blackpool Tower, offering a welcoming stay in the heart of Blackpool. The property features a studio, two apartments, and six bedrooms, along with a garden, terrace, and a range of modern amenities. Guests enjoy clean, comfortable rooms equipped with wardrobes, flat‑screen TVs and private bathrooms

Role Overview

The Hotel Manager is responsible for the daily operation and guest experience across the studio, apartments, and bedrooms. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who thrives in a hospitality environment, enjoys guest interaction, and can maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service. As a live‑in manager, you will be the on‑site point of contact.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Front‑of‑House

• Manage daily check‑ins, check‑outs, and guest communications
• Provide a warm meet‑and‑greet service and assist guests with planning their stay
• Serve continental breakfast on request and ensure a smooth morning service
• Maintain a friendly, professional presence throughout the property

Property Operations

• Oversee the studio, 2 apartments, and 6 bedrooms to ensure they meet brand standards
• Maintain outdoor areas including the garden, terrace, and outdoor furniture
• Ensure all amenities are functioning and accessible (e.g., wheelchair access, accessible bathrooms, emergency cords)
• Monitor and maintain safety equipment including fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, CCTV, and audible alarms
• Manage key access systems and electronic room keys

Housekeeping & Hygiene

• Perform and supervise daily housekeeping
• Ensure all rooms and shared areas are cleaned to professional standards
• Oversee laundry processes.
• Maintain sanitisation of plates, cutlery, glasses, and tableware
• Ensure removal of shared stationery (menus, magazines, pens)
• Support contactless check‑in/check‑out procedures

Administration & Compliance

• Manage invoices, bookings, and guest records
• Oversee cashless payment systems
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
• Liaise with health care professionals when required
• Maintain business centre functions

Guest Services & Facilities

• Oversee amenities such as:
• Snack bar
• Picnic area
• Board games/puzzles
• Family rooms
• Pet‑friendly facilities
• Ensure 24‑hour security and guest support

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in hospitality, hotel management, or guest services
• Strong communication skills; ability to speak English
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
• Comfortable with hands‑on cleaning and housekeeping
• Confident managing guest interactions and resolving issues
• Ability to work independently and work weekends
• Knowledge of health & safety procedures and hygiene standards
