Senior Sous Chef – Independent Restaurant (High Volume) – Edinburgh City Centre

• £34,000 per annum, plus tips of up to £12,000 a year paid through TRONC, so a package up to around £46,000
• Four day working week

• Permanent, full time position A Senior Sous Chef is required for a long established independent restaurant in Edinburgh city centre

The Senior Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in running the kitchen and take charge in their absence. Both lunch and dinner service regularly run over 200 covers, so the role suits a chef who works well at pace and can hold standards when the kitchen is under pressure. The kitchen focuses on fresh cooking using quality produce, with menus that change through the year.

The Senior Sous Chef will work within established systems and processes rather than building them from scratch, with support from the wider management team. The business also offers structured development through a personal development plan, mental health and wellbeing support, and an overtime review every thirteen weeks.

Applicants need at least two years’ experience at Sous Chef level, with the ability to lead a section and a brigade through high volume service.
