What You Will Be Doing

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals to pupils and school staff

• Supporting the kitchen team with day-to-day catering duties

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety

• Washing up and keeping kitchen areas, equipment and workstations clean

• Following food hygiene procedures and allergen management guidelines

• Helping ensure meals are served safely and efficiently

• Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide a welcoming school dining experience

Requirements

• An Enhanced DBS check is essential, in line with school safeguarding requirements

• Two references are required

• Food Safety Level 2 certificate required, or willingness to obtain

• Food Allergen Awareness certificate required, or willingness to obtain

• A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Previous catering or school kitchen experience is desirable but not essential, depending on the placement
