Junior Sous Chef – Gastro Pub & Restaurant in Notting Hill

We are recruiting an experienced Junior Sous Chef to support a busy gastro pub and restaurant in Notting Hill.

This position is ideal for a confident Junior Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie with excellent fresh-food cooking skills and the ability to support a busy kitchen team.

The Role

• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations.

• Assist with managing busy lunch and dinner services.

• Prepare and deliver fresh, seasonal dishes.

• Supervise kitchen sections and support junior chefs.

• Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.

• Assist with stock control and kitchen organisation.

• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained.

We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie.

• Background in busy restaurants or gastro pubs.

• Excellent fresh-food cooking skills.

• Good knowledge of British and European cuisine.

• Confidence supporting and supervising kitchen teams.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.

• Must be able to commit to the entire 2–3 month temporary assignment until New Year.
