What You Will Be Doing

As a Chef Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the school kitchen, ensuring food is prepared and served to a consistently high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting the kitchen team

• Planning and preparing nutritious, high-quality meals

• Managing daily food preparation and service

• Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene and cleanliness

• Monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies and managing stock rotation

• Ensuring food safety and allergen procedures are followed

• Managing kitchen organisation and daily operations

• Supporting and motivating team members

• Maintaining a positive and professional kitchen environment

Requirements

To be considered for this Chef Manager position, you will need:

• Previous experience in a Chef Manager, Senior Chef or similar catering management role

• Experience working within a busy kitchen environment

• Enhanced DBS required

• 2 references required

• Food Safety Level 2 Certificate required, or willingness to obtain

• Food Allergen Certificate required, or willingness to obtain

• Strong understanding of food hygiene and allergen procedures

• Good leadership and communication skills

• Reliable, organised and professional approach

• Ability to work effectively under pressure
