Senior Sous Chef – 4 Star Hotel (Restaurant Based) – Edinburgh City Centre

• Salary of £37,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experience
• Tronc on top
• Real influence over menu creation, no central group menu
• Restaurant based, no banqueting or events
• Permanent full time position at 40 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join a 4 star hotel in Edinburgh city centre. This is a restaurant based position rather than a hotel operation, working with modern Scottish food built around local provenance and seasonal produce.

The Senior Sous Chef will have considerable autonomy and input into menu planning. There is no group menu, the kitchen writes its own, and individual chefs have their own dishes on it. We are looking for a Senior Sous Chef who will bring fresh thinking to the food offering. This is a close knit kitchen and the team and culture are a real priority for the business.

The ideal Senior Sous Chef will have Sous or Senior Sous experience in a quality led restaurant or hotel. Most important is someone creative and proactive who wants to put their stamp on the menu and work collaboratively with the wider team.
