Senior Sous Chef – CPU/Production Kitchen
£47,000-£50,000 (DOE)+ Paid Overtime | Monday to Friday (Banqueting & Production)
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sn Sous Chef to support the culinary operation and Head Chef at an Central Production Kitchen in a SW London Central production Kitchen.
This is a unique opportunity for a Sous or Sn Sous to lead and support a varied food operation, overseeing fine dining and banqueting production kitchen. The role would suit a confident chef who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced production or Banqueting environment and wants the opportunity to make a impact with a work like balance.
The Role
As Sous or Sn Sous, you will have overall responsibility for managing the team, rotas, stock, invoices & being the second in commad to the Head Chef, ensuring consistently high standards across restaurant service, events and banqueting.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading, motivating and developing a small production kitchen team.
Overseeing all food production for the restaurant, events and banqueting.
Maintaining consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and service.
Managing stock, ordering and food costs effectively, invoices and rotas
Ensuring full compliance with food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
Working closely with the wider management team to deliver successful batches of food to be transported and finished in the Main kitchen on Site.
Driving continuous improvement and introducing new ideas to enhance the overall food experience.
About You
We are looking for a proven Sou or Sn Sous ready to take the next step
You will ideally have:
Strong experience managing a professional kitchen and kitchen team.
Experience within restaurants, events, banqueting or contract catering.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
A passion for quality food and high service standards.
The ability to remain calm and organised in a busy, high-pressure environment.
Strong commercial awareness, including stock and cost control.
A hands-on leadership style with the ability to develop and motivate a team.
The creativity and confidence to bring fresh ideas and influence the direction of the operation.
