‍ What You’ll Be Doing

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of the school kitchen. Your duties may include:

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals

• Helping with basic food preparation and kitchen duties

• Keeping work areas clean, tidy and hygienic

• Washing dishes and maintaining kitchen equipment

• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures

• Supporting the wider catering team during busy service periods

• Providing a friendly and professional service to staff and pupils

✅ Requirements

To be considered for this Kitchen Assistant position, you will need:

• An Enhanced DBS suitable for working in a school setting

• 2 references to support your application

• Food Safety Level 2 Certificate

• Food Allergen Certificate

• Or a willingness to obtain the required Food Safety and Food Allergen certificates

• Previous catering or kitchen experience is desirable

• A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team

• A commitment to maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
