Chef Manager – Schools & Contract Catering

  •  Location: Solihull  & surrounding areas
  • Pay: £18.00–£24.00 per hour (depending on experience and end employer)

Berkeley Scott are currently recruiting experienced Chef Managers and senior chefs for agency opportunities across Solihull and the surrounding areas. We have immediate opportunities available within schools and contract catering sites, offering flexible work, regular bookings and ongoing assignments. Whether you’re a Chef Manager, Head Chef, Sous Chef or experienced Senior Chef, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

  • Running the day-to-day kitchen operation
  • Preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality food
  • Leading and supporting the kitchen team
  • Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and allergen standards
  • Managing stock and minimising food waste
  • Ensuring meals are prepared and served on time
  • Working closely with the client and catering team

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef, Sous Chef or Senior Chef
  • Experience leading or supervising a kitchen team
  • Contract catering or education experience is desirable
  • Food Safety Level 2
  • Food Allergen Awareness
  • Reliable, professional and flexible approach
