Berkeley Scott are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistants to join our team working within a school environment in Peterborough.

‍ What You’ll Be Doing

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will help ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of food

• Supporting the catering team during busy service periods

• Preparing ingredients and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen

• Washing up and keeping kitchen equipment and work areas clean

• Following food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures

• Supporting with stock rotation and storage

• Helping to provide a friendly and professional service to pupils and staff

• Working effectively as part of a wider catering team

✅ Requirements

We’re looking for candidates who have:

• Previous experience working in a kitchen, catering or hospitality environment is desirable

• Food Safety Level 2 Certificate – or willingness to obtain

• Food Allergen Certificate – or willingness to obtain

• Enhanced DBS – required for this role

• 2 references required

• A reliable and hardworking attitude

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• The ability to work efficiently in a busy environment

• A professional approach when working within a school setting
