Kitchen porter – School

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our catering team at an independent school in Cirencester. This is an ideal role if you are looking for predictable, straight day shifts with no weekend work and school holidays off.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the kitchen, washing-up, and dining areas.

• Operate the dishwasher and wash pots, pans, utensils, and crockery efficiently.

• Assist the chef team with basic food preparation and stocking kitchen supplies.

• Dispose of waste properly and ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are strictly met.

• Support smooth service during lunch and afternoon school meal times.

What We’re Looking For

• A strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.

• Good communication skills and a friendly, supportive attitude.

• Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is a plus, but full training will be provided.

• Note: As this position is based within a school setting, appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
