Are you a passionate and talented Sous Chef looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join a well-established traditional pub in Narborough, offering a classic menu alongside a renowned Sunday carvery.

About the Role:

As a Sous Chef, you will play a key role in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality, traditional pub dishes made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. You will assist in menu planning, ensure high standards of food preparation, and help manage kitchen operations, including stock control and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in the preparation and service of a traditional pub menu, including a popular Sunday carvery.

• Maintain consistency and quality in all dishes served.

• Support in managing kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.

• Uphold food hygiene and safety standards at all times.

• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.

• Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a pub or restaurant setting.

• Strong knowledge of traditional British cuisine and carvery preparation.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent team player with leadership skills and a passion for food.

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
