Our client, a prestigious 4-star hotel in Leicestershire, is seeking an ambitious individual to join their dynamic kitchen team. The hotel also boasts an impressive banqueting operation, catering for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of high-quality bistro-style dishes, including an exceptional pastry selection.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Support menu development, bringing creativity and innovation to seasonal offerings.
  • Play a key role in the hotel’s banqueting services, ensuring excellence across large-scale dining events.
  • Train, mentor, and develop junior chefs, fostering a positive kitchen environment.
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships to maintain quality and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-quality restaurant, hotel, or bistro.
  • Rosette experience is highly desirable, with a strong passion for modern British cuisine and pastry.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • A commitment to high standards, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • A relevant culinary qualification and food safety certification.
