Assistant Sommelier – Michelin Star restaurant – Perthshire
As Assistant Sommelier you will assist the Head Sommelier in creating and updating the wine list. You will be someone who has a good understanding of food pairings and can recommend these to guests. A good deep knowledge of wines is essential for this role of Assistant Sommelier. You will be an Assistant Sommelier who has excellent customer service and can discuss with guests what their likes are and suggest suitable wines.
As Assistant Sommelier you will have experience in a similar environment of either a Rosette or Michelin Star restaurant and have WSET Level 3 or above. Wine will be a passion of yours and you will be both knowledgeable and helpful when guests are choosing wines. You must be guest focussed and enjoy the role.
You will report to the Head Sommelier and Restaurant Manager and be fortunate to work alongside one of Scotland’s best chefs. This is a great team and so someone with warmth and professionalism will fit in perfectly.
