Head Baker

£30,000-£35,000

We are seeking a skilled and creative Baker to craft delicious, visually stunning baked goods for our nine stores using organic and sustainable ingredients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking, a flair for innovation, and a genuine passion for working with organic and natural products. In this role, you’ll produce a diverse range of high-quality sweet baked goods that delight our customers and uphold our commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce a wide variety of baked goods using organic and natural ingredients.
• Develop and execute creative family recipes and innovative ideas that align with the companies product standards and the founders vision.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
• Collaborate with the rest of the baking team (2 members)
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure continuous production while ensuring wastage is well controlled.
• Approve Rotas for the Bakery team to ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Adhere to food safety and health and safety standards, ensuring a clean and organised workspace.
• Ensure agreed processes and administrative tasks are adhered to at all timesto ensure compliance with our organic certification partners. 
• Stay updated with industry trends and sales patterns to identify growth opportunities within the department.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Proven experience as a Baker in a high-volume, quality-focused kitchen environment.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of organic and natural ingredients, as well as their unique properties in baking.
• Creative flair and ability to develop innovative recipes and designs.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• 40% of this role will be admin base after production is finished
