Food Service Assistant – Schools (DBS Required)

Location: Worcester
Pay Rate: £12.71 – £14.00 per hour (Depending on experience and/or the end client)

Berkeley Scott is currently recruiting Food Service Assistants with an Enhanced DBS to join our busy agency team, supporting schools across Worcester and the surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation and service
• Serving healthy meals, snacks, and refreshments to pupils and staff
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
• Clearing tables and service areas as required
• Washing dishes, utensils, and catering equipment
• Following food hygiene, health and safety, and school safeguarding procedures
• Supporting chefs and catering teams with the smooth running of school meal services
• Delivering friendly and professional customer service

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate (registered on the Update Service is desirable but not essential)
• Previous experience in a catering, hospitality, or food service environment
• A good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
• Food Safety Level 2 Certificate
• Food Allergen Awareness Certificate
• A reliable, professional, and positive attitude
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Availability for weekday daytime shifts, ideal for school hours
