Berkeley Scott are partnered with a contemporary, worldwide restaurant brand to help them find an Executive Head Chef to lead their kitchen team and manage the day to day running of the food operation in their Manchester site. You will play a central role in shaping the culinary direction, overseeing kitchen operations, and contributing to the overall success of the establishment.

Your new role as our Executive Head Chef:

  • To develop, implement and monitor all menu design, food product and service delivery for all areas of the restaurant.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop seasonal menus and special offerings.
  • To manage and control kitchen budgets, food and labour cost control, stock procurement/purchasing and assisting with achieving sales targets.
  • To manage and develop all personnel within the team, adopting a flexible approach to staffing levels based on demand, identify or providing training and support, conducting annual appraisals and taking an active involvement in recruitment.
  • To ensure that the health and safety and food hygiene regulations are upheld to the highest possible standards in the kitchen.
  • To develop and maintain effective and constructive relations with the other Heads of Department.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with the level of the post so as to ensure the smooth running of the business.

What we ask of you:

  • Must have real passion for cooking and providing the highest quality of food.
  • Extensive experience in the delivery of branded restaurant product.
  • Experience of managing, influencing and developing teams and individuals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Financial acumen, including budgets and accountability.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • An ability to efficiently delegate tasks and empower employees.
  • Experience with Pan-Asian cuisine is preferable but nor essential.
