About the Role

Berkeley Scott is looking for an experienced Chef Manager to work across a range of catering and hospitality sites throughout Leicester and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and organised professional who enjoys leading kitchen teams, maintaining high operational standards, and delivering outstanding food service. As a Chef Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring clients receive a first-class catering experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operation of busy kitchen environments
• Lead, support, and inspire kitchen teams to achieve high standards
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations
• Deliver consistently high-quality food and excellent presentation
• Control stock levels, place orders, and manage kitchen budgets effectively
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and site management
• Assist with menu planning, cost control, and operational improvements

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Food Safety Level 2 Certificate
• Food Allergen Awareness Certificate
• Previous experience as a Chef Manager within a high-volume catering environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• A professional, reliable, and proactive approach
• Own transport is preferred due to travel between multiple client sites
