We are looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager for this busy city centre restaurant.  You will be experienced in high volume as this restaurant is busy all day long.  It is fast paced and therefore lots of fun.  As Assistant General Manager you will support the General Manager in all day-to-day activities.

 

Your Role & Responsibilities (not limited to):

– To assist in the running of the business with the passion as though it was your own business & take control in the absence of the General Manager

– Leading the team to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain company high standards.

– Controlling costs & attempting to increase turnover at all times

– Day to day running of business – opening, closing, cash handling, accounts management

– Managing costs & controlling wet/food GP margins

Applicants must have:

  • 2 years experience in a similar assistant manager role
  • Hold good knowledge of drinks; including wine, spirits, cocktails, & be a license holder.
  • Knowledge about menus, seasonality, including allergens, food safety
  • Great leadership skills and enjoy working as part of a team in a social environment.
  • Excellent communication skills
